Plateful Café is a unique charity organization located in the heart of London. Founded by Iolanda Chirico, it serves as more than just a dining spot—it’s a community space that fosters connection between refugees and local residents through the universal language of food. The café is dedicated to supporting refugees, empowering them by involving them in the decision-making process and creating opportunities for integration and collaboration.
The graphic design project for Plateful Café aimed to visually capture the café’s dual mission: to celebrate the joy of sharing food while emphasizing its role as a beacon of community support and well-being. The branding reflects the warmth, inclusivity, and culinary excellence that Plateful Café embodies. From logo design to promotional materials, every element was crafted to communicate the café’s mission of transforming lives through kindness, collaboration, and good food.
One of the central design challenges was to balance the vibrant energy of a culinary hub with the deeper message of social impact. The result is a visual identity that invites people in, encourages togetherness, and highlights the café’s dedication to refugee involvement and local well-being.
